I just bought a set of Motegi MR15 - and went with Michelin XGT H4 205/40/17...is this a good set up for my Civic? I have stock springs and shocks for now. I got a steal on them for $695 mounted and balanced and couldn't pass up...

that is a good deal..
lot's of people will tell you that 17's are to big..you should be just fine though, however if you decide to lower your ride be careful because your car will begin to rub more than you do ;)

Thanks. I can't decide it I'll lower or not, if I do, it will be a short drop like 1.5" or so...Want to ride with it like this for awhile and see how it handles. There is snow on the ground right now in TN - freaking weird and will wait for drier roads to test them...

Hey CivicEX where do you live in TN, I live in Gallatin outside of Nashville. I also bought motegi wheels(MR7), but i'm waiting till March because the salt will cause damage to the clearcoat finish. I just knew that when i bought my wheels we would have the biggest winter in years. Screw Al Gore and his global warming haha.

I'm down the street from you! I live in Madison...Small world. We need to hook up some time, couple of my buddies have imports also. If you've seen an ugly ass prelude with 18's, dropped and a full body kit, thats one of my buddies. It needs paint, bad...

I probably have seen it, but don't remember it. I don't know allot of people who have imports around here. I've seen the way most of them modify their cars and i'm glad that they haven't gotten into it. We'll meet up sooner or later. What does your Civic look like?
