AF 4th Gen Forum - Flyer Design

Maybe someone out there can design something better - myabe we could have a contest or something... anyway, came up with this design since some of you were talking about promoting our forum with flyers...

I know there are several nice 4th gen civics at my school...

Let me know what you think... designed for 2 on a page black and white photocopies.. simple and to the point...

Really that looks good better than what I would be able to do.

That is the tightest flyer ive seen yet!! Simple, yet professional. I like it :D :D :cool:

true enough....beats the hell out of my "throw together in 5 min." flyer

although, i think it would look better with a picture of a pimped out rex and a pimped out hatch on it plus the date of the generation (88-91) because not everyone is familiar with "generations"

i like the whole idea of doing it in greyscale, that way i can print alot of them on my laser printer and have them not look bad, and preventing me from having to buy more ink for my photo quality linkjet printer, those are very expensive ink carts.

anyway, here is my first attempt at madifying a picture in any way, so if we have a contest...im sure to be dead last...lol you guys and your mad photoshopping skillz...hehe

i guess i was biased towards the CRX, although I have nothing but love for the hatches and sedans out there... we're all family, right?

Actually I choose the rex because it was already a simple design - I don't think its even a photo...

The picture of the red CRX is a painting. It was done by a CRX-UK member of his car.

No 4 door or wagovan? Just playin, I think the crx/hatch design is quite nice.

CRX586, thanks! I wasn’t too sure myself when I first put them on, but since I got the sides shaved I like them a lot better, looks a lot cleaner than before.

Yea, grayscale would be best for printing. But that thing looks great to put on a website or something. Think I might use that on my link to this place:D

not dissing rex's or anything but if we make a flyer for 4thgenerationcivic.com it shoud have a hatchback on it and no crx!!! And personnaly i think AF should break Civic, and CRX up into two different forums!!

sorry man i completely disagree with you. A CRX is a Civic, so they do belong in the same group. When i first came into this thread and just saw the CRX in the pic, i was going to say something about puttin a hatch in there, but then I scrolled down and saw something else already said something. i like the new pic with both the hatch and the rex.

Yea, the civic and crx's are basically like fraternall twins..... they come from the exact same gene's but look a lil different, but by a small margin....... These two cars deserve to stay together.......

what are you talking about the first gen crx was obvisiouly did not have civic on the drivers corner of it and crx in the center... oh wait a second... yeah thats right it was a civic crx hmmmmm... and sure a/f could try to split the two... but it won't do any good... we'll all still post in the same forum... hell i've been talking with some of the same ppls on where for over 2 years and have grown great respect for them and thier cars... sorry but it won't be that easy to ditch us rexer eh

This one is really nice, I love it. I was going to suggest having both cars,
the CR-X and the HATCH. It's perfect! The black/white looks real classic-like.

you are never gonna get them seperated. They are almost exactly the same except a few things...and wow the rex is known as a 2nd gen also, but you can ask just about anyone what a 4th gen crx is and they will tell you the same thing as a 2nd gen. No point in seperating them.

Well seeing as how the CRX is a civic...it makes it a 4th gen

but its not a 4th gen. if honda wanted it to be a 4gen then they would have named it a 4th gen!!!

technically....4th gen isnt in a regular civics name either. :)

Yes...it is a 2nd generation CRX...But, it carries the civic name, and the civic name is in its 4th generation.

Wow, that sure is a good point, and JEEF is the winner of this arguement......

The rex started off as a civic, basically like a hatch or sedan, but it got its own name, and eventually ended up creating its own off bread like the civic did, known as the Del-Sol. The 2nd Gen CRX is a spawn from the 4th Gen Civic, therefore it will still be considered a 4th gen Civic, and a 2nd gen CRX.

i think we sucessfully post jacked this thread... we should prolly return to the regularlly scheduled program... yeah those flyers are def. f'n cool, and it'd be great to see more done with different design layouts.

Instead of a full flyer, why not a business card? Its easeir to carry around in your wallet and people are more likely to keep a small business card than a large flyer.

Or maybe the flyer on the car at a show along with business cards to hand out.
