i was watching speed tonight and saw this sweet car its a 63 chrysler turbine if any one has any info on id be much appreaciative..

Rover and Chrysler were experimenting with turbines at about the same time. The first Chrysler turbine powered car was in 1952. The last one, to my knowledge was 1978.

the only thing i can tell you about this car is that you will probaly never own one. only three exist, Chrysler own 2 and one is private.

Actually, there are still 9 of the cars left, and bout 4 of them still run. The horsepower was rated at 130 bhp @ 3600 rpm, and torque was 425 lb-ft. They also were able to turn about 45,000 rpms. As for top speed, i'm not really sure. Turbines would run to 45,000 rpms...but they idled at 40,000 rpms.
