Heres some sites:

From GTPlanet.net
THE FINAL SECTION OF THE ULITIMATE DRIFT GUIDE

POWER OVER
"power over" is japlish for power oversteer. If your car has pleanty of horse power, simply plant the throttle on the exit of the corner to create wheelspin. Dont try this on the entry of the apex as it induces understeer.
Best suited for-FR or MR but the gt-r v-spec2 is mad.

Thats most of the drifts i can think of right now but a Im shure that you'l all find your own way to drift.

Just for Begginer tuners I'll Give you a few tips for making a good DRIFTA , if your cash straped the best idea is a silvia with Sports brake balance controler, lightwieght flyweel and triple clutch. A Stage 1 0r 2 turbo if you can affort it. Also sim tires are good for drifting

As you aqquire more money buy the full suspension and the power upgardes so the h.p is between 300 and 400.

good luck and happy drifting.
P.S The calsonic skyline is great for drifting.

S15. Stock suspension, sim tires, and LSD diff set to a really high decceleration number.

There are a lot of good guides out there, just do a search for "Gran Turismo Drifting" on google...

Easiest way to drift, is to go for a 50/50 balance in EVERYTHING. Now, if you start with a car that doesn't have a 50/50 balance in weight distribution, this makes things trickier.

Good rule of thumb are the spring rates, start with even front and rear spring rates, and if the back end doesn't come around once you get off the brakes, then you should increase it a little.

Decrease the front camber by 1 degree or so, this makes for better turnin. Use sim tires, and only go to stage 2 weight reduction. Stage 3 alters the physics of how the car grips too much, and a racing modification completely changes the handling of the car.

id say best car to learn on in my opinion would be the Supra get one mod the hell out of it usually end up at 1072 hp then get full custom supension make it a little stiffer than normal and turn off TCS and ASM and just mash the gas and cut the wheels and you on the way to a drift

Its also best to practice on a course with BANKED TURNS.

My suggestion: buy a z32 tt, stiffen the suspension, install simulation tires, set traction control and active yaw control to 0 and head out to midway field :ylsuper

Too much power is a major disadvantage for drifting. To properly drift, you need to use sim tires, and have all traction control off. You can't put down more than 400hp while drifting, it just spins the tires and you can't regain traction.

well thats what i am trying to get at its a lot easier to learn on something that isnt as stable ie;Supra...but yeah i am usually using lower power vehicles like a Silvia Varietta and so on right now its not even that much of a challenge to do a lot easier than i thought it would be

I went over to my friends house for his birthday, and played him a game of GT3... Now I don't remember what car I bought and modified, but it flew. I'm pretty sure it was a TVR with a 6 cylinder, but it was FAST. I did little things to help it rev freely mostly, just porting and exhaust and balancing... Still, it made nearly 360hp, and the car only weighed about 2200lbs...

It was fast. :)

im no Jap whiz but i'd say it would have to relate to the car being a Hatch-Back just a hunch

It is the AE86 Corolla, referred to as 8-6, or Hachi-Roku in japanese. There are sedan Hachi rokus as well.

I find AWD cars are no good for a traditional drift, as you have to be on the power the whole time to keep the wheels from gripping, it's more of a powerslide than a true inertia drift.

The Shigeno Trueno GT APEX is the best drifting car in GT3, in stock setup... it's the Hachi Roku from Initial D!

The Sil Eighty from GT2 is the best stock drifter in the game.

The thing to remember is go NA, shoot for around 300hp. Use sim tires, turn off all traction control, and go play. The cars will have a little understeer in stock form, so it's good to add half a degree of negative camber, maybe even a full degree, depending on the car. Also, softening the front springs by 25% will give you a neutral balanced car, usually.
