The color is chrome yellow, comes from Tamiya. Ts- whatever, I don't know but it comes from Tamiya.

Man, I don't know how you spray the model and it comes out that glossy. Come on, what do you do when you spray your models ? Do you just spray them in lite coats or what ?

Here's a few pics taken today.
Kit is coming along really well.
The underneath takes a bit of time masking and painting, but has turned out pretty well.
Just got all the body to detail now like trim etc and it will be finished

Underneath
As you can see there is a lot of painting needed. Mix of different silvers for engine etc.

Definitely put the carpet in P-man! It makes the model look so much better. Just a hint, start with the bottom piece and work up. I did it the other way around, so my overlaps are obvious. Lookin great!

I love wathcing your progress pics! Can't wait to see it finished. I have a Q. What color did you use for the black and when you masked it did you spray it or handpaint it?

I just stumbled on to the same kit today at my local hobby shop but it's the version with the metal plated body. Does that change anything on the building process? I mean do I need to use a different primer or glue than the ones that are used for the 'normal' kids?

P.S.: I love these progress threads, I might just as well throw away the instructions that come w the kid and just follow what the P-Man does :)

Quick update :p

Going well so far.
The body is detailed(almost) and just needs putting together like the windows/lights etc etc.
The windows have been the trickest to do as they dont have a mask like some of the newer kits. The rear quarters have been a pain to get right.

Hopefully have it finished this weekend all going well

Hey Warren,

What I admire so much, besides your modeling skills, is your ability to focus on a model and finish it in one time over a very short period of time.

oh and your, GT3 looks as always classy stunning.

So if you finish this one so quickly what will be next? Another exotic or maybe a musclecar for a trip back to your older days. What about a lowrider :D

I have thought about one....but have yet to see one at any shops here.

Got the body all rubbed down and polished last night and has turned out pretty well.
The windows are abit of a pain to get in as there is not much area to glue them in. So its important to use something like Kristal Klear incase you get normal glue on the window.
Added a different touch to the rear of the car by using the GT3 badge that is meant to go inside the car......I thought it was a waste to have inside so I added it to the rear bumper.

The lights have been bare metal foiled and the black foil has also been on the rear to make it look tidy instead of masking then painting....makes it quicker too !!
Been slowed down as the front bumper is having to be sanded and re-painted after severial "paint-holes" appeared on it.
Hope you enjoy

Looking good, looks like you will have it finished in a day or two. My friends uncle has a black GT3, he hammered past me yesterday going about 140kph. Got booked doing 200 something in a 50 zone at night, he is a bloody lunatic but its a awesome car, huge bucket seats!

Got the front bumper resprayed today and fitted.
Car is almost finished now...just wipers/exhaust tips/mirrors to go then a final waxing of the model
I'm not happy about the rear wing. It come in 4 bits and when ita all glued together(even though it looks good), you see the join marks.
It really needs to be assembled first and then have some putty put on the joins to make it look like a one piece wing.
Doing that would make it harder to paint but would look better.
I'll make up my mind tomorrow if i'll do it.
Here's the latest pic with the wing and nose on.
Should be finished tomorrow with more pics.
