In my oppion they never left I just think there is so much that still hasn't been done yet.
Such as the 94+ Usdm Integra swap which is easiest to mold lights into, and also gives the front a nice rounded shape.
I think more light swap should be done. Like this Crx project car from TeamPrototype.com. This car has a Rsx head light swap (sweet) and an Mercedes tail swap. It also sports a Feelz Front Clip which i usually dont like, but I understand they need to have a good angle in order to have the lights look right.
So anyway here are some pics!!!!!

Uggliest POS ever! Whats wrong with the car stock? Man, shave the moldings and mold everything and then build the suspenion and engine. Why put a rollbar in a car that has a fully done interior?!?! Is it a race car or a show car? I'd be to scared to race that thing.

Race cars take major amounts of abuse, abuse tha will destroy the wonderful body work. On top of that I doubt that body kit and custom tails and headlights and whatnot really help aerodynamically. Also, with all the money spent on looks they could have made the car much quicker, or handle even better depending on what type of racing their doing.

Maybe they aren't going for a 10 second car......
Some people like having a nice looking car that runs 13s. Most show cars run something like that, most of the performance mods are just for show.

sorry but those headlights dont look right on that car they are too big and the back end looks naked with those little lights, plus it makes it look like a trunk not a hatch like it was

I think it's o.k., but I wouldn't put as much money as they did for all of that bodywork

Hey yo! I'm just letting u know that that car was just featured on this month's Honda Tuner, and it's a headlight and taillight conversion, not a swap. Aight Peace

Yes I agree that the lights in front are big and the back are a little small, but I give the team mad props for trying new things. I also agree that I wouldn't have put all that body work on if I was racing but like he said it supose to be a show car with a show roll cage those dont really work in case of a roll over. And sorry for the misunderstanding about the swap I ment the same thing as conversion when I said swap.

Back in the day, way before the new beetle.. Us old skool beetle fanatics started petitioning VW to bring back the bug..
What happened?? They did, made tons of money and made people happy.

The worst thing is the non-functional roof air scoop that channels air to do
Have I been asleep for so long that CRX's are now rear-engined??
It may just be my taste, but I really dislike non-functional items, or worse yet, counterproductive add-ons i.e. monster rear spoilers on front wheel drive cars. :iceslolan:lol:

I'd say keep modding the old CRX's and just enjoy them. In my opinion, when people try and bring back a classic it's never as neat as the old school ones. And those new VW beetles should all be sent back to the factory for a permanent recall. The beetle looks like a fisher price car.:cya:

I have had two CRX's and have always liked them. If Honda made a new one and it had a beefy engine (B18ish) with the original weight or less, you would have one serious track car.
I have seen some nice CRX's at various shows lately but they are fading away as the years pass. Now days you only see the ultra trick ones and the beater ones; very little middle ground.
I don't mess with those tricked out CRX's, if they have a turbo in them it's like picking a fight with Bruce Lee.
