Okay, I have a question. My car will not start. :(
Anyways, here are the symtoms. Put the key in, turn the ignition, and click. Try again, click. Again, click. Nothing. Now, I know it is not the starter. I pulled the starter, opened it up, and the brushes were a little worn, nothing big. Put it all back together, and hooked it up to the battery, It wizzes fine, and puts out about 100 amps. I even took it to the parts store, and they said it was fine. So, could it be the main relay? Or does the main relay only really cause problems with the fuel?

man i have been having that problem for so long and i have so much money invested into why it keeps doing it. well it could be your ignition switch, is your ecu throwing any codes? whenever my car wouldn't start like that, it would just click, i would disconnect the battery for about 5 to 10 min and the bitch would start right up like nothing happened. but i still havn't figured out what the hell it is, it doesn'tdo it as much anymore but it still will do it now and then. if you figure out what it is let me know please

yeah...main relay only deals with the fuel (I believe)... are all your engine grounds connected?? I ALWAYS had a problem with not connecting them all :( how bout the wires going to the starter? everything intact?

It sounds like the starter selenoid...but maybe not if the starter is spinning off the battery. :bloated:
Do you have another one you could try? - If you get one from a parts store, make sure you can return it if that isn't the problem..sometimes they are a little freaky on electrical parts like that. :(

Fixed it today. Kind of sucks working under a flood light.
Anyways, the problem was the little black wire, witht he female end on it. About 4" up the wire, it had a small slice in it, which was shorting out.
Thanks for the replies. :)
