Unusual Swaps

Just wondered if anyone has done any unusual swaps into their 4g, anything from h22's to f20c's. Anything that isn't usually done. I'd like to hear their stories and results. What they think of their swaps.

'frostee' has a h22 swap in a 90 si, maybe he will come on and talk about that.

How about a nissan sr20det, mitsubishi 4g63, any mazda rotary engine? Those are unusual.

I actually know where to get a SR20DET RWD engine... I should pick it up just incase I wanna do a 240SX/Silvia conversion :D

the sr would be alot of work due to the fact it is rw drive

well, maybe for the RWD conversion but I think I saw at Nippon motors a FWD SR20DET. the SR I found is sitting in what's left of a 240SX

ive always dreamed of a 4g63 swap into a civic, it seems like it would be as easy as a b16 or b18 into one, then the turbo power......:D

if it were only possible, i'd love to put in a 2JZ in our car, but that engine is probably as big as the whole front end!!

A GUY AROUND MY AREA DID A VG30DETT SWAP INTO HIS 4TH GEN HB......ALL I CAN THINK OF IS THAT HE OR HIS FAMILY HAS MONEY..A LOT OF MONEY TO DO THAT

SAID HE WAS USING CHRYSTLER SEBRING SPRINGS IN THE FRONT AND IT STILL LOOK LOWERED

you are right, they didn't they had KA24 (I think)engines in them... however this had been swapped. I did check the engine code to see it was a SR20DET

damn..I'd defintely pick that up then...then turn around and sell it maybe..the prices of 240s have skyrocketed in the last few months.

How about a 302 in a crx? There is a racing shop around the conor form where i work that has done that. There almost no part on the car that is still stock. The front end was extened i think a foot and a half and the entire floor was cut out to make a tuneel for the trans and driveshaft. I think the car runs a low nine and is used for demo only. I see if i can get some pics of it
