Hi there,
After a bit of thought I have decided to build the Tamiya Subaru Impreza WRX STi 1/24 scale kit. I have the following kits that I am going to build over the next few moths, but I decided to build the WRX STi first as it is quite a quick one to build.
Tamiya Subaru WRC 2001 - Rally of Great Britain.
Tamiya Subaru WRC 1998 - Safari Rally.
Tamiya Peugeot 206 WRC 2002.
Italeri Subaru Race Truck complete with Tamiya Subaru Kit.
Provence Moulage 1/43 scale MG EX258 - Rally Monte Carlo.
Provence Moulage 1/43 scale MG EX257 - Le Mans 2002.
I am building the WRX straight out of the box, I was going to add the rally spec rear spoiler, but decided I would rather not split one of the other kits that I have.
I am spraying it in Gloss Black as I think that this colour looks great with the Gold wheels, besides which I am bored with painting Mica Blue Subarus.
I will post some progress pictures soon. I am building this one slightly different to my normal way. Normally I follow the instructions and paint the parts as I go along. This time I am going to paint it all first and then assemble it.
Anyone have any good tips about building this kit.
Regards
Tim Dunlop

To get best results on the underside, mask and spray the drivetrain and suspension. It will look a lot better than brushpainting. :)
