What about the 94 SE's, aren't they the same vq as the 95 and up?Don't the 94 Maxima's Weigh a little less than the 95+ ?

The 94's are VG, not VQ to my knowledge, it's because they are castiron block instead of aluminum

what about in 97, which is the quickest out of the gle gxe and se???

gxe is always gonna be the lightest, and therefore the fastest, because of the lack of options(leather, spoiler, 16" rims)I say a 95 gxe auto stock can beat a 95 SE auto stock to the 1/4 by like half a car. not much.

We can trace back today's Maxima most directly to the third generation Maxima which began to grow in size during the early 90s. Nissan coined it as the "4-door sports car." In 1993, Nissan added a short-run VE30DE engine to SE models good for 190 bhp. In 1995, Nissan introduced a new fourth gen Maxima along with the new 3.0 liter V-6 VQ30DE engine featuring an aluminum head and block along with micro-finished camshafts and molybdenum-coated pistons. Output was rated at 190 bhp with 205 lb-ft of torque. While it looked good on paper, it even felt better when driven. The VQ powered Maxima had amazing smoothness but brutal power when pushed. Quite a few magazines were able to get 5 speed Maximas tested at 0-60 in under 7 seconds.

Yes, "the elliminator". That's what I we call my brother with the 10sec eclipse. He took EVERYTHING out of his car except shifter, ebrake, gauges, and seat

i had a 91 crx that was striped down one seat and nothing else,my uncle raced it for me a few times but i didn't like driving a car i need ear plugs just to drive, but i don't think someone should should strip down a maxima its just over kill , sure i don't carry a spare,jack,or my subs no more and i find it mad a diffents in the weight of my car
