center console blues

Hey , i picked up one of the optional audio centerconsole for cheap, but there is supposed to be sumothin beside the ciggaret lighter, it looks like an ash tray or sumpthin. but all there is, is a hole. I am thinking bout cutting a piece of plastic and covering the hole up , but b4 i do does anyone know what is supposed to be there?

goto a j/y and take one, thats all i can think of

haha, thats where i got the cosole. the ash tray from my old console is too wide, wait maybe i could customize it! hrm ill have to check that out

lol yea u might be able to custom fit it, whats the old ash tray out of that u tried to fit in tho? and what years the console you got out of the car?

the ash try that im gonna fit is outta my 90 civic cx, the audio console is outta a 90 si i think.

oh yea,:confused: there both hatches right? or same model at least, i think it should fit,

thats what my old console looks like yeh., the new one wraps right back to the e brake. and the hole is a little bit smaller, ill have to widen it

ohh alright i get wut ur sayin, yea thats the Si console prolly, the CX's r so plain inside eh? thats what made me decide to do the custom console :sun: i'm thinkin of gettin rid of mine and putting in an Si or Teg console eventually

yeh hehe, i consider mine a "CDX" cause its pretty much an DX/SI cept the sunroof and motor and crap

lol, what motor do u have in ur car? D15B1? or D15B2?? yea my car has i think 2 DX parts lol, front bumper and that console piece.

honestly i dont know.....:p haha. my vin number is 2hged6340lho20889... i dunno if u can tell from that, im thinkin its a d15b2. anyways i have like 15 parts: the center vent clock, audio console, tach cluster, passenger mirror, and im going to go get the rear hatch cover supporters.

hey on ur center vent. did it just have a huge hole in it where the clock would be? or was it filled in? on the stock CX one u have

on the vent that came with it was a black filler piece, i just went to the j/y and picked up a clock and replaced it.

oh yea, mine theres just a big gaping hole lol, dunno if there was a filler piece and they took it out of not, might go searchin for a clock one day haha

lol, yea i'm thinkin of gettin black seat covers from Canadian Tire or Walmart lol, Canadian tire has some that r nice tho, black and have like Japanese or Chinese writing on it in white just like 3 symbol things and the pretty cool so i might get those, or get black and red ones from walmart unless i can find all black ones

:D mee too, my drivers side has a tear in it from getting in and out so much. Im gonna have to get them sooner or later. I wanna get black and red covers to go with the "theme" of my car.

the theme of mines gonna be, black interior with some silver accents and white body with black bumpers, then when i can afford it i might get it painted a kinda dark metallic blue and keep the black

it looks like you got some more paint off the dash and steering wheel... must be a huge pain in the nuts.

1PhatCX - your car looks like it needs alot of work, but i think thats the fun part. you get to spen more time working on it. good luck

You know if you get a Apexi air fuel controller, you can custom fit it in there and that would look sweet!

and thanx for the feedback guys. i'm sure i can save her. interiors lookin better with the one door panel done, i need to take more pics then I need to get film developed. i think i might wait for the engine and interior to be finished to take pics. might see if i can bum a digi cam off someone for a bit tho for interior pics.

The reply was for fiercecivic, should have quoted him, right were the ashtray goes, he can put the air/fuel controller cause its about that size and would look nice!
