Anyone built the fujimi lambo miura kits? They have 1/20 and 1/16 scale kits. I'm interested in getting the 1/16 scale one but it'll probably end up costing me well over 100 bucks, and on HLJ's site the pic of the completed kit looks polly wolly crappy:

Any thoughts?

Not me, but some other guy did.

It was tooled by Otaki, and they were making okay kits back then, so I think this one isn't so bad. However, body prep is critical for any old kit.

ESCI and Marui also made them. I think the Marui one was motorized.
Did any of them manage to get the fins around the headlamps done right?

My view of the 1/24 Miura's is, ESCI missed the body shape and trim details on their Miura, Doyusha's Miura is awful, Marui's Lambo Jota is the best. The best 1/24 Miura is Imai's, the body is beautiful, wheels are nice too. The problem with most of these kits, except for the ESCI, is they were motorized so the chassis and interior's aren't very good. Yorazuya makes an etch set for Miura's, Miura SV and Jota's, it even incudes etched eyelashes that you build from seperate pieces!:)
