The engine is worth modifying if you plan to stay with that motor. If you plan to swap, don't waste your money and time. The D16z6 is a great motor and has a lot of potential.

that is just awsome. i had no idea it was a v tec, thats great.
ok also im new at this, im 17 this is my first real car, or i mean a car i can actully call mine. im not stupid about engines or machanics, but i know some stuff. what kind of things should i do with it? the whole car, not the engine?
my dad suggested to buy a motor stand and pull the motor and tranny and goto a salvage and buy a cheap motor and tranny to put in. the reason is so i can strip the motor down and give the block to a shop and have them clean it ect, then dip it in paint then from there build the engine from scrap. i was thinking about headers, stock cylinder heads, perf camshaft, umm, just try to get some performance parts for it. i dont want to go overboard or anything like twin turbos, or supercharge but, i just thought showing a little chrome would look nice.
other than that, what do you think?
suiggestions?

HELL YEAH, im gonna go with a small alum wing and some high grade wax and make the paint shine. but damn, i cant stand the way some of these cars look around here. like spray painted black with BIG spoilers, and its like one thing too, are u really gonna be going to do 150 mph in THAT car? if ur not then drop the top fuel drag car spoiler and get a smaller one. but in otherwords, im not like a lot of those people. i like to have a nice looking car, not ghetto. anyway thanks for the website

your dad sounds like a cool guy. my parents think that spending money on anything other than maintenance is a waste.

i cant even beleve that hes buying me a car. but my sister just moved back in so all 3 cars are taken up now, so he just said what the heck might as well buy u car now. so weve just been tlaking about it, and hes been telling me how cool it would be to change the motor out and rebuild to orignal motor dip it, clean it, and after 3-4 months drop it in and have a nice motor.
sounds like fun, i cant wait to get started. its the weekend so i cant go out to a salvage yard and find another engine, although i might just have to get away with buying a cheap used motor and tranny combo off the web. i dont know, but im hoping for the best

hey civic, u think u can also help me out on a good place to purchase exterior and interior parts? iv been having a hard time trying to find em. iv flund like 1 body kit a some wings. but id like to find a place that does a lot of the older civic mods, like dash kits, seats, intrior mods, ect.
but i cant find many at all.
i also read in this one post that its better to go with some nice 15 in. rims and tires instead of 17's becasue ur gonna get better accel. is it worth it? or would 17's be an overall better choice?
