GTP vs. 626???

The car (http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=4175319&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1#) was totally debadged and it was dark out but I am pretty sure it was a 626. The car had at the very least exhaust and it looked real clean. It wasnt your average fart cannon. In any case the guy was way up ahead of me and he kept getting on it and driving very spirited. Since I havent been driving my car lately I was wanted to get in on this for sure...

Once I got up behind him I'm sure he knew I was in for some fun because I kinda came out of nowhere. We ended up side by side at a light and in front. The guy wouldnt look over at all. The light goes green and I go ahead and give it enough to barely break traction and then I went WOT till about 50 aqnd the guy didnt even try. So I let off and start to drive normal. All of a sudden hes flying up and he passes me.

We get to another light side by side out front and the same thing he wouldnt go from a dig. I watched him this time and when I saw his lights lift I waited till he got about a car behind me and I went WOT. I figured I would walk away but I didnt. He stayed about a car behind until around 80 when I slowly started putting more distance on him letting off at around 100 with him about 2 cars behind.

We went at it one more time. I let the guy start to do his flyby and this time I waited til his front tires were at my drivers door before I went WOT. right there he stayed until I started to pull and eventually pulled enough to turn on my turn signal to go ahead and get in front of him. Which I did. The guy pulled into a gas station and I wished I would have pulled in to so I could find out what all he had done to his car because I really think he did pretty good if it was only a 626... I dont understand why he wouldnt race from a dig...

Anyway, thats my story...

Coupla the Mazda boards I post have 626s with some boost, and from what they say, they can scoot. May have had some work done beyond just an exhaust. I'll see if anyone posts anything about a death to a GTP.
