Bill is a good friend who lives near me but he is a little crazy. His cars always have working suspensions and windows that crank up and down using watch gears in the door. His stuff wins contests everywhere in the US. He usually uses an official shop manual for the car he is working on. His cars usually take 6 months to a year to complete and have to be sen in person, they are awsome.

I think Murco can send a cv and the kit he did to Tamiya or Aoshima, and probably get a decent job there. :ylsuper :ylsuper

While on this subject, does anyone know how the folding mechanism for the Peugeot 206cc works? I saw a toy in a shop here with a real electric folding roof and opening rear hatch and was thinking of using the mechanism in a tamiya model, but on closer examination the toy had hinge brackets mounted on the rear window itself. Not good.

Joecwlaw and Kunta, I appreciate your thinking that I am capable of such mad-modelling but that piece isn't mine!! I found those pics on another message board, was floored, and had to share. Like 935 said, Bill Geary is the builder and a contest-terror in the northeast U.S. His 1958 Impala from 2002 was incredible and this car looks to eclipse that effort.
I love it when someone "raises the bar" and shows what can be done if you are willing to try. This is what the craft is all about!
Will I try to do this?? Hmmm, I do have 4 - '69 Camaro convertibles waiting to be built.... So, HELL YEAH!!!

BTW, I think most every drop-top uses basically the same framework and action. Just find any cv and note the mechanics as it folds down...

:)
