speaker help

i took out my speakers that are in the back window to replace them becuz they blew. i went and got 5 1/4 speakers jus like is in there and of course they dont fit, is there any easy way to put them in or am i jus gonna have to get some wood and cut out a peice to fit in there or wat?

5 1/4 inch speakers in the back? I got 6 1/2s in the back of my 97 max. Are you sure the stock ones were 5 1/4?

yea, i took them out and measured them and they were 5 1/4.the guy i was talkin to at the audio store told me that a lot of times stock speakers are kinda oddball sizes. did u have to drill new holes or anything to put the 6 1/2's in?

nm, i went and got some wood and jus cut it out so that the speakers would fit, its good enough for now, maybe in the future i will do somethin else to it. jus not using a jigsaw anymore, damn thing got me good a few times:(

5 1/4 seem kinda small. The max takes a larger speaker. Check the owners manual for specks.

thats wat was in there , the old ones fit perfectly. the ones i bought only need like 1/8 of an inch more metal on the holes and i could have got them in. but hell, they work, so im happy. minus the 2 small cuts and the 1 deep ass one on my thumb:frog:
