Will this produce a Shine still?

Hi, If I just primer, paint the car then apply the Tamiya Compound and Wax will it still produce a Good Shine without sanding? The color is Chrome Yellow TS.. Thanks.

You only really need to sand after painting if there's a certain amount of 'orange peel'. If you get a good finish straight from the can, do it properly and theres no reason why not, then you can go straight to the compound + wax.

I never sand unless you really have to.
Once it is primed i just paint, wait, then give it a rubbing then a wax.
Sanding only makes more dust to try and get rid off

sanding won't put dust into the paint job, and it's easier to take out orange peel than just using compound.

I never have to sand the paint; do careful prep work on the primer and you shouldn't have to sand the paint. :)

Sure you need to sand if the orange peel is bad....What i'm trying to say is that the dust is hard to get off the car if you sand. You really need to wash the car to get the dust off before painting again which is not good for primer as it soaks up the water and takes ages to dry.

P-man, i've had no problems with sanding my topcoat of paint and then washing it throughly and going back to paint it within a few hours. Sometimes i'll just use hair dryer to dry it and paint again..

Or even so, sand the topcoat to get rid of orange peel, wash througly, and go straight to the compound. It'll give u wicked results.
