I wonder whats the best way to paint stripes on the car :)

Masking probably.

eg. White stripes on red car.

Paint the white first, then lay down strips of masking tape (once the white is properly dried), cut them carefully, then lay them on the model for the stripes. Then paint the red, and remove the masking tape before the paint is dry. That should work, maybe someone has a better idea. I hope that made sense, I'm too tired to go into more detail :bloated:

follow up Toksin's post by itemize.
the way of my case.
1.apply white paint.
2.apply clear coat once.
3.put on masking tapes.
4.apply red paint.
5.remove masking tapes.(in my case, after paint is dry)
6.apply clear coat once.
7.rub away the edge of red paint between white paint.
this makes your body surface flat.
8.apply clear coat (maybe 2or3 times)

Why not paint some Tamiya masking tape?

Is there any big difference between Tamiya masking tape and usual masking tape?

Tamiya tape will not bleed paint under it. It sticks right to the very edge of the tape.
Some tapes are not sticky right to the edge and will bleed

Oh and dont leave masking tape on a painted surface for too long (a few hours).

It will leave ugly residue that can be problematic to remove.

And usual masking take bleeds, not i see the difference. Ive had that bleeding problem when i was painting one seat for my r32. So how much would tamiya masking take cost?
