I Hate My Car!!!!

Okay, first things first, my fukin alternator fukin died, and because of my Optima Yellow Top Battery, the alternator was overcharging my car and the battery was takin the beating and overcharging all the wires on my car at like 17 Volts and i got shorts all over the damn car and now my car is sitting at the mechanics and they have been looking for all the shorts and its been down for 4 days now and its pissin me off!!! Okay, i had to vent....

Now, for the question, the mechanic can not figure out why every time you press the brake pedal, the left signal comes on, the lights on the dash light up and the fuel pressure drops and then the car dies......... The fuel pump and everything is fine though, so its something electrical..... Okay, so what do you guys think it is????

Oh, and i think that this damn car has been giving me too many fukin problems that i want to sell it!! I just put on the WW RS kit on my car, and i wanna sell it!!!!! How much do you guys think i can get for it? remember i live in NY...... i bought the Si for like 2000 dollars, and i have put in about 3000-4000 dollars into it trying to fix it up nicely and it just looks like i've bought a lemon..........

My mechanic said that after rewiring the whole car it will have a down time for another week or so and it will cost anywhere from 200-600 dollars...... So you guys think i should sell it!?

Sorry for the long post, but i need some help!!!! Thanks!

check your codes on the ecu. If anything get rid of that optima battery.

I had no idea you were havin problems like this ... yea, some cars are just lemons, my friend bought a 93 DX coupe a while ago, and sold it like 2 weeks later cause he replaced a bunch of shit and then his power steering stopped working. Sold the car with it still broken, but made like $500 on the deal so it wasnt a total loss.

Okay, yea, i hate the fukin battery i have, i have it for my system, which is fukin huge and only attracts cops..... Yea, i have only the front pic of my car with the kit on, but i wanna take pics with the rest of it on, i still have to put on the side skirts and the door caps.... well, should i keep the car if i pay to get it re wired or should i sell it?

Get a high amp alternator i guess? I've seen them for sale on ebay awhile ago.

sorry to hear about ur troubles

i know how you feel, but i'd stick with it with all the stuff you have done to it.

but its up to you

unless you buy a 4th gen that the previous owner replaced certain stuff, you will always run into these sort of things. once you replace it you know it's been done and taken care of. the si's alt. died 6 months ago. now it's done and over with.

as for your system...you really should look into a high amp alt. as melloyboy suggested. are you running any CAPs? they help too...

again, did they check the ecu? (a) for all the error codes (b) see if it's fried

I have two 1.0 farad caps on the system, one for the sub's and one for the interior speakers......there were no shorts of any kind on the stereo system......

Your optima battery isn't causing any of your problems. You probably have some serious wiring issues however. The wiring problems can even fry your alternator. Most of the electrical problems I've seen in cars are from stuff somone has added.

I'd go over all the added wiring that has been done and check for problems. Then check the original stuff.

Get a multimeter and the wire diagrams out.

Do what Amis sez too.

Okay, i went to my mechanic and i tested my ECU, and i only got one flash, then i reset the ECU and i did it again, and only one flash...... i know that one flash is O2 content, so i gotta change my O2 sensor soon right? well, still my problem has not been fixed...... sigh........ i miss my car......
