Finally get to touch my models again, but I'm having a tough time setting the smaller decals for a Tamiya WRC corolla. The smaller ones that wraps aroud the fire extinguisher simply would not conform to the round shape. I've even gone to the point of soaking them in decal set to soften them, but once they dry, they simply peel themselves off the cylinder. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

are you using decal setting solutions and solvents, or just water? The setting solution is put on while the decal is soaking after being dipped in water. That helps it stick. Then, after the decal has been applied and has been drying for about an hour, you can put some solvent over it, which essentially melts the decal, allowing it to conform to even the smallest spaces of the part. Then you can put some wax over it or clearcoat it to help keep it in place. Hope that helps some

A warm cloth over the decal or use a hair dryer to help it works well.

A little white glue(like Elemer's or craft glue)under the decal will help it stick.

I'm using setting solution to wet the decal b4 I put them on the surface. I've never had problem before, but since the fire extinguisher is so small w/ so much curvature the decals wants to lift it self off the surface. Would using hotter water help soften the decals more? thanks!
