rally car model contest

Are you interested to I open one month contest only for Rally car models?

That might just be the inspiration I need to start building rally models :D .

I am sure Freakray and Rallyraider will agree :p

I think it would be a good idea Zeljko, my problem is I don't complete a rally model a month....hehe....

Sounds good to me, I got a few to finish. Mabye one of the prizes could be after market decals of the 2003 Peugeot 206 livery, when someone makes them (since if Tamiya makes the kit, it will be covered in white squares since they have Marlboro as a new sponsor). I would post a pic, I have one, but it won't post.:mad:

Well, if you decide to do this, let us know ahead of time. I'm pretty sure we could throw a bunch of pics of finished kits at you. :D

I would definately like to see a contest, it is good to see the skills of modellers beyond this board :)

HEY! I am making good progress on the Skyline, I am expecting to have it done by Febuary (at least the building...)

Yeah, Go for it I'm in for submitting a few Rally Cars as I have a very special Impreza 2002 which I could build, Metal Engine, opening doors, Real Alloy Wheels and Alloy Brake Discs

To them we will give negative points first or others will have advanced ponits on the bigging to others have chance agains them. :D

Good idea Zeljko. I'd even try and get an entry in if you specified other competition categorys each month or so. Like F1, sportscars, touring cars, etc as well as Rally.

A themed side-contest every couple of months sounds cool. I love seeing the stuff people enter every month! :D

Sounds like a good idea...i'm in.
The one thing i think we do need to be careful off is having contest's to often.
IMO The AF Model of the year has to be the "highlight" of the year....maybe 4-6 smaller ones like your rally one, the ITR one and maybe a seperate Skyline/EVO/WRX ?? contest during the year.

I got bunch of positive answers on RCMG and AF and I decided that we WILL HAVE one rally model contest.

Also there is already one sponsor here! Wong will give one set of his decals for winner. Thanx Wong!

About rules, I didn't think to change anything in BMOM rules.
BUT if there will be enough models to we can make different categories for
super detailed and almost from the box (including OOB), and another for 1/43
scale I will make it.

BUT so far there is only one award for RALLY modelers. Another one which I
can get for car contest will not be rally thing. For few categories so far I
will not have enough rally awards, but we will see...

I have one question for you now. When you want contest, in March or April?

April is good for me:)

Then you can all vote for my model as a birthday gift to me;)

But seriously, April is good, and so is March, either/or.....I am happy to go with the common opinion on when you would like to have the contest staged.

I have a 99 Safari Impreza upstairs. I'll go ahead and start it and the C5R rather than a Duster and C5R. Why not do a race car contest?:confused:
