For your first question, I'd say, use only 1 big Turbo, cause with 2 you have to find more space and use more plumbing/pipes/tubing whatever you want to call it and we don't have a lot of space under the hood of the Max without having to relocate a few things like maybe the battery or a few others.
Someone did a TT conversion to their Max and I read it somewhere before but I didn't save it and I can't remember where I found it. It was a 4th gen I believe and of course it was custom built. I believe the guy was somewhere out West in Montana or somewherez.

I can't even recall what color but I think it was black and it was on a link someone posted on the org.
I'd probably go with a T66 Ballbearing Turbo, if I couldn't afford that I'd go with the T3 or T4 ceramic like Paonessa said.

Not from what I read on it, it's a liquid ball bearing turbo that takes shorter time to spool up, the people who had it said that it was more efficient due to it's configuration and materials used to build it.
I want to see somebody running with one in their car and sit inside while they're spooling up to see what kind of off the line acceleration they get.
