I have the 3.1 V-6 Vin "T" motor. Easiest way to access?
1. put car on jack stand
2. remove front passenger side wheel
3. turn steering wheel full left
4. remove plastic splash guard at bottom of right front fender (use flathead screwdriver to pull up on the indent ridge round plastic holding things that hold splash guard in place)
You should pretty much have a straight shot. Mine had Yellow/purple lines going to it.
I also had other stuff removed like power steering pump and lines, alternator and alternator bracket, large plastic radiator overflow tank that sits on the inside of passenger side fender...you may or may not have to remove these. Remove the least amount possible to get where you need to be.

Hey plodder, I moved your Highjacking post to your own thread.
CA Cutlass Supreme's thread is big and complicated enough without trans mission clutter.
Now to answer your question on the P0705.
That is trans range sensor circuit malfunction-(prndl-input)
That doesnt always mean you TSS is bad. First I'd check the wiring from and to the TSS sensor, could be the plug(or wires) on the Park Neutral Safty Switch to the TSS.

ps- no need to post duplicate thread/posts, your one in Nonspecific was deleted.
