ok i finally painted my tail lights all red from some clears i had. now i dunno which center piece looks good  the tail lights compared to the stock red center piece are brighter. so i was thinking of buyin another clear center piece (since the 1 i have is messed up) and paint that one. what do u guyz think ??? let me know ur thoughts

i think the clear middle piece looks great on your car, the old center looks way off from the new brighter painted tails

I'd say it's all or nothing... I think the clears would look great without being painted... Only on a white car...
But it looks weak with just the lights painted and the center piece clear.
Same with the black center piece...
I would say (since you already painted the lights), go ahead and paint the center piece too.

Why dont you just paint the center piece WHITE to match the car? that would look nice!

he prolly used testors transparent candy apple red, you can find it in the model car section of any wal-mart, it comes in a small spray can for 2.99, you will need 3 cans to do the center and both sides

we used stained glass paint (in a spray can of course). spray the inside(may need a few coats) let it dry then spray a clear coat over it.
this is a pic of my car. we used the stained glass paint on the front bumper lights.

I'm with him. I painted mine white and i liked how it looked. Instead of it looking like its one piece, you actually have something that divides them, or looks that way.
This is the best pic i have of mine:
