If I get a full catback system should i get a Y-pipe? If so how much of a difference would it make?

if you want it, go for it. it will make a difference, but it depends on which one you get. this is a guesstimation but you could probably expect between 6-12hp gain.

dont forget to get a high-flow Cat Converter!

I agree with un4,also FYI the high-flow cat is only good for about 1hp, unless you're running about 3 inches all the way back from the engine to the muffler, I would say you probably won't gain that much, also you're car will be crazy loud using a 3 inch full exhaust & catback.

Get a Y pipe, your best gain in the Max comes from this alone, besides Turbo, S/C, nitrous.

brings up a good question for me... does anyone make a y-pipe for the 94 max?

is rmv a good quality product, that underdrive pulley caught my eye

a y pipe alone is worth 18 hp not 6-12 and 19 extra lbs/ft torque. you'll end up with about 30 horses after a y pipe and cat-back. definitely get the y pipe.

From what I've heard and seen over at the org, it is a good quality product, I'd go for it. The lighter weight UDP is a nice replacement piece to add to your car, not only do you gain the benefit of a faster revving engine it also prolongs your engine by requiring less inertia to turn it.

Go for it.

that's a good point. i never thought of it before, but it does probably help extend engine life.
