Installing stereo in 91 celica gt...

My roommate just bought a 91 Celica and I will be installing a head-unit for him this weekend.

The previous owner said it had the 6-speaker sound system (for what that’s worth)

Is there anything I should know before I start?
Does this car have any funny wiring?
Is it a single-din slot?

do you know what ur doin? that's the number one question, if you don't...i would find someone else to do it, it's better to not do something then try, get pissed, and mess something up. I have an '87 celica GT-S...i love the car, but it was a pain in the ass....I went and bought a book on the car, and in the back of the book it had a wiring diagram for the radio and all speakers, if it wasn't for that, my car would not have a cd player in it...weird colors too....so i just re-wired my whole car with 12 gauge orange for positive and 12 gauge white for negative.....if it wasn't for the book, i wouldn't have known that a blue wire with a yellow stripe was the power...etc...i couldnt' find an installation kit for mine....

with a 91...you should be able to go to walmart or whatever and find a wire harness...less of a pain for you...in a 91 the radio is normal size...not a huge one...as for the speakers, there is gonna be 4" speakers in the front dash, and 6 1/2" in the rear seat side panels....
