Check out the Toyota, Sauber, BAR and Jordan. If they all had no livery and were painted the same color, could we tell them apart on the track?

probably not. But this has been the case for many years now. I guess it's the consequence of very tigh regulations - oh no, those again  - and physical aerodynamic laws.

Actually the Jordan looks original and looks very good too! Hope it performs as well as it looks though
can't say anything about the Toyota or BAR as the cars seem pretty "ordinary" to me.
The Sauber is getting pretty much the whole F2002 rear end - that can't be bad :D

Could be bad, if your copying, you're not being innovative. I guess they've surrendered to being a mid packer.

I guess Sauber does not have much of an option using Ferrari as an engine resource. I believe they never intended to end up higher then 4th anyway, so for them it's probably the best route to score points and why not a podium should the top 3 teams run into trouble.

they are not copying it, they are getting it right off the F2002 :):):) (not the aerodynamic package, but the engine, gearbox, and probably some of the rear suspension too!)

I was refering to other teams too, namely Toyota, why should they copy? They have more money than Ferrari.:)

They could just buy the enzo, stip the chassis and still do better then what toyota did last year!
but, I guess we might see a big contender in toyota this year!
Looks like F1 becoming even more a standardised racing formula then it was, so we might expect some close racing, and hopefully someone will break Shumi's legacy...

Well, money isn't everything:rolleyes: right?
Toyota still needs the drivers to support their 'incredible' car [if somehow they have a 100% foolproof amazing car]

You are right, the thing about Toyota is they progress methodically, they proved themselves in their road cars, slowly developing them into some of the best, best selling and most durable in the world. It seems they are managing the F1 program the same way, Honda tends to push too hard taking two steps forward and one back. Toyota will be on top soon, Honda have better fear them as Renault stated they do.
