Hi there, I wanted to see if you guys have any idea what's going on. My car, which I use to drive to the university, recently started to give me problems. It is an 88 accord lx carb. The thing with it is that I would start it and then the tach meter ( the one on the left of the miles per hour), would slowly goes down to around 1000rpm and the engine sputters. Sometimes, I usually just rev the car real high, or keep the RPM using the pedal around 3k and around 2 minutes, the car would automatically idles high, around 3k or so. I don't know what the prob is. I though it was the spark wires: i replaced them, the cars starts well for 3 days, then go back to this problem. Could this be the spark plug? I changed it to OEM 4 months ago. Help .:flash:

Check your ignition wire and make sure it is connected good to the distributor...it may need replacing too. I'm just guessing at that cause my car got real weak recently and it was from the wire not being on tight. Hope you find the problem...:-)
