Has anyone built the new kit from revell? I know tamiya makes a 1/12 scale kit, and fujimi has a few 1/24 kits with engine detail. Anyone built any of these?
I was thinking of building up a revell 240Z with a chev 350 in it.

Revell 240Z is a good kit, and it's more complete than Fujimi. It's an old kit, so careful dry fit is necessary, unlike recent Tamiya kits, but it shouldn't be so hard.
It's 1/25 scale, but finding a Chevy engine of that scale will be very easy.

How's the Fujimi 240 ZG? Is it a curbside, as usual?
I recently saw a resin model of the 280ZX Kaminari (Or something like that) in model graphix. Was wondering if there's a plastic model of this one as well.

Fujimi's 240Z has L24 engine, but it's not meant to be installed in the car, since the hood is not separate, and the engine room is missing some critical components, such as battery and brake cylinders. The carburetors are a bit too simplified, but the chain cover/water pump details is very good.
Despite some shortcomings, the kit can be built to a very nice replica. This is one of the better Fujimi kits.

Go the old school Datto power :D as if there is any. I want to do a 240Z with a skyline engine in it or a 400 Chevy SB. Keep us posted on this one Ranger_X!

The one with the engine on the box art is cheaper than the other one. Any reason for this?

A: inflation.
Despite Japan suffering from deflation, kit price continue to rise. The 2nd one is the 1st release of new 240Z tool, followed by Z-L and rally.
The 1st one is one of suspension down series, and it has an extra runner with parts to lower the car.
I'm not sure about the police one, but all Fujimi police car kits have some extra parts.

BTW, how's the progress on your G-nose 240Z, based on the ad in your magazines? I'm sure we all can't wait to see it.
