best suspension for lx

i am currently trying to build up the suspensin of my lx...i was gonna start with the engine but i have decided to save that til last. i am going to get new bushings no matter what but what strut and spring setup works well. i dont want coilovers and i dont really want it to have the slammed look. what would be the best setup but not be all that expensive. maybe between 500 and 700 bucks or so? i would like the car to handle well on the street and i would like it to also be used to run at the track everynow and then...the only thing is if i go with brakes from an integra do i have to get parts specific to the integra or can i still use civic parts?thanx for your help.
