Hi,
could someone who uses Castrol Super Cleaner to strip models please tell me if the bottle/can has any ingredients listed on it?
i live in Australia and can't find it so i am trying to find out if we have another product that does the same thing.
Thanks
Gary

Brake fluid (not brake cleaner) is also good for stripping paint, I haven't been able to find any CSC so I just use brake fluid.
(I think brake cleaner will melt the plastic, correct me if I am wrong though)

CSC is really nice for removing enamels and acrylics, but it won't touch tamiya. Try some brake fluid. It's usually good for stripping about 2 bodies.

hey, i sprayed my car with Tamiya paint and i put this CSC type product on and it did nothing.. i tried BRAKE FLuid, and it took the paint off 2000X faster! plus brake fluid is way cheaper, i bought mine for 1.99

Mainly it's sodium hydroxide, a pretty strong base...from what I've gathered, it gets in between the paint and the plastic, and the paint slides right off since bases are extremely slippery.
Try some oven cleaner
