First i would like to thank everyone who gave advice on my suspension troubles. I own a 91 GXE. I was installing my fog lights from my old car last night onto the maxima and i came to a problem. Theres no way to get thru the firewall without drilling (which i want to save as a last resort). I need a good way to get thru it because i plan to hook up my amps soon. If you have any ideas, could you include either pics of what you did, or detailed instructions, or ever better both. Thanks for any help.

I don't know about the 3rd gens, but on the 4th gens there is a rubber plug above the fuel filter, about 4 inches up, which we can pull to get through. Check it out, might help, sorry if it doesn't. :D

Just an idea. Try to see if you find an opening around the steering column. There's always an opening in there. If not, sorry couldn't be of much help.

On the firewall to the left (as your looking toward the rear of the car) of the steering column, it's a silver cylinder slighlty less round than a soda can, and about 3 inches high, with one hose out the top, and one out the bottom... :D

Ok, here's what U do: If you look (from the outside) inside the driver's side wheel well, you should see a large rubber grommet. A portion of your main wiring harness runs through here. You may have to remove part of the spash shield to get to it, and you'll definitely have to take off the wheel if you want a clear shot at it.
Anyway, it's been the contention of a lot of 3rd gen owners (myself included) that this is, by far, the easiest way to get through. Basically, once you find this grommet, either poke a small hole or cut a small slit through it and you'll end up kinda midway up the inside of the car, well above the foot rest on the left-hand side.
If U REALLY want some pics, I can take some I guess. But write me at [email protected] so that I can get them to ya.
Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward. Let me know if you have any problems, 'k??:sun:
