depends what you're looking for, the SL is the cabriolet, and the CL is the Coupe of the S-class. The CL is the better tourer, i dont think you will find a better big tourer than a CL55 or CL600, but the SL55 is an awesome car than can cruise in luxury just aswell as it can eat up a circuit or mountain roads. Personally i would prefer the SL.

agreed! Also depends on the engine configuration.

CL V12 = Aston beater :)
SL AMG = Ferrari killer. :D

Both are best in their league. I'd prefer the SL. After 50 years, at Mercedes they still know how to make the SL more beautifull, over and over again!
