Long time lurker, first-time poster.
Now I have a G2 integra(93 auto). LS? maybe, its a 4dr sedan. Not gonna lie to ya. Im an idiot with cars, almost.
So i have the tendency to punch it off the line. But thats not the concern. its when already doin 40-45 kinda "gunning" it from there. My tach goes all the way up 6k and doesnt change gear immediately, i know it should, but it accelerates like theres no tomorrow, but drags on changin gears.
Now my question is why it can be doing that. any possible ifs or whys?
Please help. All is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mojo

I drove a 93 auto LS once when I was looking for a family car for the wife, I remember I really liked the feel of the tranny for an auto. I also remember that the car has a sport-shift function (feature). You can either set the stick in S1-S2-S3(?) or there is a button that you can press to put the tranny in "race" mode.
It sounds dumb, but check that. Make sure you're not in sport-shift mode, because that will do exactly what you describe (It'll keep your revs high and not shift until they've peaked).
Also, be sure it's in D4 or Drive on the stick. You might have it in the S3 mode. If you don't and the indicator light/sport shift button doesn't look pressed in or turned on - then you could have relay or wiring problems where that fuction stays in sport mode (which would suck). or, even worse you have clutch slippage in the tranny - which is not as likely, but it could be happening.
tell us what happens. :D

Well on occasion, for sh-ts and giggles ill do the S3 and S4 driving
But i rarely do that anymore. Its always showing in D... I dunno
Sometimes i think it is that.
I wouldnt be surprised if my trans was falling apart. the car has done its duty...
But im curious...
