Createx Paint

Just wondering since I use these on my rc car bodies do you think I can use these on the static models I use the aut line createx which are acrylic enamel base paint. Anyone use these on their models? I am asking becasue these are better for the bucks then the tamiya small jar paint for air brush

Dont use Acrylic paint. Cuz its not as good as Enamel. Use Enamel Spray Paint. I would recommend using Testers Model Paint, Air Brush things like that. Im tellin u all of this stuff cuz u sem like u dont know alot about this stuff. Cuz u asked whut iTR was.:flash:

Could you please type in english? Do you realize that some members here are not from the US and have to use a translater to write and read english on this board? Also I would recommend using Tamiya over Testors, but it is a little more expensive.

hmm how is asking what ITR is makes me not know anything at all. There are so many slangs and short term in this world that not everyone knows what they are. Beside I use arcylic paint on my models all the time and they turn out well. One just needs to clear coat them. Also the createx paint I am using are for automotive detailing so that is why I am asking if this stuff works just as well.

Zilla, The paint may just work, I am afraid you will get no gloss. RC car body paint dont need to be glossy because the clear lexan makes it shine.

if you do use, You may have to you a clear coat. In this case, try testing on a scrap piece of plastic then if it does'nt shine try a acrylic clear over it since its the least one likely to react with the paint. also remenber RC body paint is flexible so that when you crash it does'nt crack off.:) hope I helped.

Please don't give advice like that!!!!!!! Of all my cars in the gallery only 1 is NOT painted with acrylics, and I'm rather dissapointed with how it turned out. Geez!

I think if you use a clearcoat it will work just fine. Try it if you want to, you can (almost) always strip paint and start again.

Test the creatix/clearcoat mixture on a scrap peice. I noticed when painting RC bodies that the creatix airbrush paints and the spray can paints, Parma, don't react well to one another. I had to use the stuff in the can first, then spray the creatix. If I did it the other way around, the Parma spray paint would "eat" the creatix and ruin the paint job.

Oh, and to your original question, they should work fine for painting cars, and if the clearcoat test works and they don't react to one another, just clear coat it.

Oky I did some test on the creatx Autoair paint not the normal createx paint and found that they work just as well as tamiya arcylic paint. buff them and clear coat them and they look like the tamiya model paints plus these are much larger bottles so better the value. Only problem is that the paint does not have that wide of a range as tamiya paint but if you are doing the basic color or need to mix a color i recommend the createx AUTOAIR paint. Remeber it must be the auto air paint.
