will i pass?

I have an 88 CRX si with a jdm b16a in it. I just found out that my car needs to be registered and smogged. I'm in california. I was wondering if anyone knows if I will pass and all? I dont really mean the emissions part, but the visual and all. Will I pass, or am I gonna need to pay someone off? Also, are there any tricks that will make my emissions pass? Thanks for the help.

Damn man, I dunno, I think you gotta take your car to the referee and tell em what you got, but shit, you got a JDM engine which I dont think the ref will be down with, maybe ask 'EF_LSVtec' about this cause he has an 88DX hatch with a 98 B18A in it, and I know he went to the ref.

Where in CA are you at anyway?

Thats cool, I have been to rocklin if you call passing it by on I80 headed to the mountains doing about 80MPH. Anyways, I know my friend with a 94GSR is gonna pay someone off once he puts his JDM B18C type r engine in it, but I have no expirence in these matters.

My engine is also JDM but has passed smog twice, I guess they never looked at the block, cause it looks just like a D15B2.

Do you have any idea where youre friend is planning to go?

if anything just ask the guy if he could pass the car with like an extra 20 for himself, 99% of the peeps will just take the money and hook up a car sitting in the next engine bay to pass.
