Just dab a little on a really soft cloth (old flannel shirt is best) and rub the paint surface. Don't use too much. Works nice on Testors enamels too. For near perfection and a mirror-like shine, you wet sand the surface of the model w/a polishing kit, using 2400-4000 grit polishing sheets, then graduate to buffing the surface w/the compound. Impressive stuff.

Yep. Rub it on, wipe it off w/a clean section of the cloth. Give it a try on something you've already painted-try it on the middle of a roof section to see how it shines up. Rub in a circular motion. It's not too abrasive, so you shouldn't go through the paint if you avoid edges. It cleans dust/fingerprints/dirt off as well. You can also paint over it if necessary. It's a compound, not a wax. It will make it smooth and shiny, but w/o the protective surface of wax-which I do not use on a model. I just polish them and keep them as clean as possible. Keep 'em in showcases if you can.

but be sure you paint is completely dry.
I always use compounds after the clear coat, enough layers of clear coat should give mirror finish. Besides TAMIYA, i also use modelers' 2000, much fine for rubbing

'fraid not, Tamiya tube sof compound are like $1.50 from HLJ.com. The auto ones for auto paints start at like $6 for a big 8oz container, they don't come in small packages like Tamiya. :)
