:what: Well, title pretty much says it all. How many canadians on tha board and where ya from. Hows the scene there?
Im from winnipeg Manitoba and weve got a decent scene. Its pretty big but nothing in comparison to cities like T.O or Van city. But considering we've only got 700 000 peeps here I'd say percentage wise we stand up to bigger cities. Anyways how about all you other guys.....

Im a Canadian, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The street racing scene is pretty dead around here IMO, [not that I could or would race my car anyways] but then again we have less that 150 000 ppl here. It seems as if ppl arent as into modding there cars around here, ya sure theres the die hard car nuts, but theres not very many even percentage wise.
Ive been to T.O myself, and the street racing is awesome there, seen alot of cool races when I went to visit my cousin there.

Yeah i heard it could be compared to cities like Cali, and Tampa. Its supposed to be pretty huge there but mostly imports. In winnipeg we have some really nice imports but the majority of cars here are big block muscle cars. Tons of em and lots of em are puching 500 plus horsepower with whellie bars drivin on the street. Legal or not im not sure but yeah wheelie bars on the road.

the racing scene in toronto is huge, everyone here has a suped up car or wants one. beside the galeria on dupont theres at least 4 garages. everyday you can go by there and i'll gaurantee you theres a solid car outside. as for racing, i ain't sure. i think theres street racing on Saint clair street cause it 3-4 lanes wide on one side(one lane is a street car track) plus u hear things. i drive a bmw f 650 st, its my fathers 2000, my bro has a nice gold honda civic. but he ain't one of those "civic" guys. purly style. k, later guys.:smoker2:

this surprises me that there is a street scene in toronto. With the prices up in canada i wouldnt think that many people would have nice street cars. or maby this is just what ive heared.

yeah we do work a lot harder to get our cars at the same level as some of the guys in the US. But I dont know about the us but here in winnipeg pretty much everybody saves cash by doing the work themselves. I know there a lot of pretty boys with daddy's credit card in the states that just order the parts and have them put on and dont even know really what it does. Not everyone but there are lots, and here there are a couple but everybody pretty much puts in all the wrench time themselves wich also makes the car and end result much more rewarding.

Hey, another cancuk here.
I'm from Newfoundland, i'm in the capitol and with a population of just over 500 000 on the ENTIRE island we've got a pretty good race scene. Every single person who races meets in teh same place. On Sunday and Thursday nights at about 10 every meets at a parking lot in the industrial area and then once everyone's there and has had a look at the new arrivals everyone heads out parade style and cruises around the city dragging at lights and stuff.
Unfourtunatly most of the people are like 40 year olds with muscle cars. Only a couple of dozen truly good imports. Believe it or not one of the fastest cars in the city is an early 90's MR2, thing is it belongs to a rich kid who got the money from his dad, form what i've heard the things got over $50 000 under the hood alone.
One of my favourite cars around though is american. It's a red LF Vette that belongs to the owner of a local garage, when he redlines you can hear it for about a kilometre clearly.
