Honda-holic Anonymous-

I was looking at ami's sig and thought to myself, what are symptoms of a honda-holic?
I'll start it off, and this is true.

One early morning, I was talking to one of my friends via AIM (RN). I glanced at the clock to see the time, and it read (h:22) I took a double take and saw it was actually 4:22. I also had a dream about building a predecessor for the RA002E.

Hi my name is CJ and I'm a Honda-holic. :D

there are several symptoms. audi recently started showing signs when he was talking about "this engine needs to go into this hatch and this engine should go into that one"....he's a mess....doesn't know if he's coming or going :lol2: . another sign is when you start owning more Hondas then you can drive at a time. don't forget.....when the answers to your mechanical problems come to you in your dreams.

i would have to say you're on the road to becoming a honda-holic when you see h:22 on the clock :D

How about more parts for the car, then you know what to do with? Ever see a B18 block end table? Yup, I got one. :coolguy:

there is a guy named jon. one of the old skoolers. i have never met anyone like him. he literally had any and every 4th gen part. at one time he had 3 CRX rear seats. several 3 and 4 tier shelves full with engines. literally he was a mini junkyard. but jon slowly disappeared. the last couple of times i got parts from him last year he was busy with this and that.

you rule for parts because you're lightening fast. and you're honest. too many skemers and scoundrels out there

I have a little story to add.

One of my ex-girlfriends that I was with for a little over 8 months asked me this question:
Brace yourself it's something you NEVER wanna be asked.
"Would you rather me die, or you crash your car..."
I froze, deep down i knew the answer but hesitated to say it.. she could tell what the answer was. haha she was mad at me for quite a while..

This forum has me addicted. My countless hours with 1600+ posts speaks for itself.
Hi my name is Jeff and I'm a Honda-Holic

You too huh?

My response was "can we not talk about my car dying?"
Ever get this one- "You spend more time with your car than with me"
I responded- "she said the same thing about you"
:D

i would die if something happened to my car. If anyone says anything about them doing something to my car....man that is the quickest way to piss me off. That car means the most to me.

i have a good man :) he doesn't mind my little obsession. we are 2 completely different people. i like the little details and i take really good care of my car. his theory is "if it doesn't make it go faster, it SUCKS!" and never cleans his car. he gets me parts for my car for holidays. but he doesn't get the parts he wants. he gets stuff he knows i want....like the CF intake :) he rawks :ylsuper.

this is OT...but so is this thread. so what the hell, why not? dropshop sent me this and i found it pretty funny:

Title: Wife 1.0 Tech

Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0
and noticed that
the new program began unexpected child processing that
took up a lot of space and valuable resources.
No mention of this phenomenon was included in the
product.
In addition, Wife 1.0 installs itself into all other
programs and launches during system initialization,
where it monitors all other system activity.
Applications such as Poker night 10.3, Drunken Boys
Night 2.5 and
Saturday Football 5.0 no longer run, crashing the
system whenever
selected. I cannot seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the
background while
attempting to run some of my other favorite
applications.
I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but
the uninstall does
not work on this program. Can you help me, please!!!
Thanks, A TROUBLED USER

Dear TROUBLED USER:
This is a very common problem men complain about but
is mostly due to a primary
misconception. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0
to Wife 1.0 with the idea
that Wife 1.0 is merely a UTILITIES ENTERTAINMENT
program.
Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and designed by its
creator to run everything.
It is unlikely you would be able to purge Wife 1.0 and
still convert back to Girlfriend 7.0.
Hidden operating files within your system would cause
Girlfriend 7.0 to
emulate Wife 1.0 so nothing is gained. It is
impossible to uninstall,
delete, or purge the program files from the system
once installed. You
cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is
not designed to do this. Some have tried to install
Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but end up with
more problems than the original system. Look in your
manual under "Warnings - Alimony/Child Support". I
recommend you keep Wife 1.0 and just deal
with the situation. I suggest installing background
application program C:\YES DEAR to
alleviate software augmentation. Having Wife 1.0
installed myself, I
might also suggest you read the entire section
regarding General
Partnership Faults (GPFs). You must assume all
responsibility for faults and problems that might
occur, regardless of their cause.
The best course of action will be to enter the command

C:\APOLOGIZE.
In any case avoid excessive use of YES DEAR because
ultimately you will have to give
the APOLOGIZE command before the operating system will
return to normal.
The system will run smoothly as long as you take the
blame for all the GPFs.
Wife 1.0 is a great program, but very high
maintenance.
Consider buying additional software to improve the
performance of Wife 1.0.-- I
recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0.
Do not, under any circumstances, install Secretary
With Short Skirt 3.3! This is not
a supported application for Wife 1.0 and is likely to
cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Best of luck.
Tech Support.
