Hello all.
I am a newbie, and i was just wondering if anyone could help me, please. I want to make some slot cars, well, slot car body shells in resin, to fit on Tomy slot car chassis, but dont know anything about resin casting, let alone modelling. I have VERY limited experience with models, made a few in my time, and destroyed most as well, as a kid.
I want to build cars that were never made into slot cars, Australian based cars, and some Japanese cars, that i like.
OK, so that is some background info, where to begin.
Anyone know of any resin casting sites that could help me in resin casting? I will pretend i am a moron ( well, maybe i dont have to pretend) , so i need simple sites to explain resin casting in simple english.
Also need some sites as to how to carve/shape those particular body shells.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Mishko
PS: Re link to rarest kits? Any kit that lasted more than 2 months in my house was a RARE kit.
PPS: I plan to buy some models soon, just to see if i can improve THAT side of my free time. Now, where do i find old school corollas:confused:

Do a search on Google for;
"Resin casting"
"Two part silicone molds"
"How to make molds"
See what you find and go from there.:)
