Nailed 2 in 2 days!! The good old tough as bricks XR6, wait, nope, my bad, the weak as piss Ford XR6!!!! TOday was hilarious, he tried running me on the highway, above 100, so why the hell, when I killed him, would he think he could compete on the smaller tighter rads below 100km's thru town? Well, anyways, had 4 wheel slide happening on a corner, held my lane still and Booyah!!! No more XR6 racing me, he just pulled up, looked at me and was like "F*&$, ur nuts" :D

I would assume that this guy is from New Zealand or Australia and is speaking about racing a Ford Falcon XR6. I could be wrong though.

I hope he's not talking about the Falcon XR6...Is he? Those things have a V8 in them I think, very very quick from what I hear...But this one definately gets the uppercase "WTF" from me as well:confused:

Ford Falcon XR6- is a 4.0 V6 EFi- not very fast.

ahem .. that'd be a inline 6cyl for the XR6. Falcons have never used a V6. Not a bad thing in their day for a cheap large car. A neighbour of mine has an early model (1993 or so) from near-new which has so far done well over 400,000kms without overhaul - his last engine oil change was about 30,000kms ago!

Try that in a CRX .. or any Honda for that matter

Btw, I attended the Bathurst 12-hour stock-production race back in 1992 I think it was, and watched XR6s chug reliably around the famous and daunting Mount Panorama track all day, winning their class ... and easily beating every CRX in the race

just a side noteo you are right! the 4.0 Falcon engie is indeed an I6 :silly: of course the morons will keep calling them V6's- just because the Commodore is a V6  The Falcon is a very reliable car if you get an ED, or a bove. The EA and EB became known for thier problmes- mainly because they were rushed.

I'd like to point out that I said "I6", and I don't appreciate your senseless honda bashing. One of my friends in high school had an 85 accord, (bought used) which he never changed the oil in. That car had over 2 hundred thou. on it, and it ran timeless until the day he sold it. Then again I think tickford engineering is very impressive as well. I think the XR6 is an amazing automobile, and deserves credit for its achivements.

If you are going to bother giving spelling lessons, why don't you go brush up on your grammar skills before you do it?

Yeah... Hybrid has to be one of the smartest people on AF that I know... just because somebody posted a Typo means nothing here. Especially when the person getting all bent out of shape over some dumb typo spells his name Thunda Downunda... Got Education? :grey:

Ok ok ok, just for the record, I believe that Slave ate some ford's ass...its not hard I can tell you that!..

Over the last...*thinks*...4 times I've taken it out in the last *thinks*....week, I've eaten an XR6. Power-to-weight is a good fight, but off the line I'll eat you!...

1984/85 Honda Civic GLs are fearsome street machines, held in awe by the rest of the motoring populance and well capable of crushing other brands of car that may happen to feature more power, better handling, superior traction, proven track record, etc

And those Showroom/Production category racing results at Bathurst are meaningless and prove nothing - they're only out for a Sunday drive over there, after all - nor would even the best race drivers in the country stand a chance against the undisputed might of a 17 year old Civic GL 1500cc ..

:silly2:

Thunda Downunda, not only is your spelling lacking, but you also are failing to use proper grammar and punctuation. I find it extremely amusing that a person with so many mistakes would bother even thinking about attacking someone else's mistakes. I normally wouldn't say anything, but there if there is one thing that I really can't stand, it is a hypocrite. Since this has turned into an English lesson and strayed away from the original post for the most part, I am now closing this thread.
