i've just recently noticed how many fellow Canucks there are on this site. i've been seeing some members with "member of the kiwi crew" or other such crews in their signature. so i got to thinking...what about a Canadian Crew?? reply with thoughts and/or comments, and maybe we could get something started...:bandit:

I dunno, I personally don't care for clans etc..but I suppose it's not a bad idea if people would want to post it in their sig's..eh?

Damn. Good skiing while I was here, though. I'll be back next year hopefully...name is a bit of a give away though.

After a few fellow Kiwis started the Kiwi crew thing as a bit of a laugh a few ppl tried to copy them.
We ended up with a lot of "crews" several banned members and lots of closed threads.

Yep, and I was part of it. but....
As Moppie pointed out, the whole crew thing got tired and then people started to get banned over it.

Hehe, handbrakes are golden in a FWD, its the only real way to have fun in the snow.....I might possibly get a video this year of some of my shenanigans, if i can get the car and the friend with the camera:rolleyes: *some might think taping illegal activities a bad thing. those people are all crazy, right Chris? my Tempest is a beater, i meant mother of all beaters. completely painted in tremclad semi-gloss black, no hubcaps, door dent pulled out (not too well either...) with slide hammer. this is the ESSENCE of beater. but it's DAMN good at handbrakes in the snow. some of my friends and i are making a jackass-style video of us doing a bunch of stupid stuff, so maybe my handbrakes will be a feature...

Hmmm, I will have the car Saturday. At my dads, I drive the 96 Taurus, 150hp, with a foot ebrake, which made it harder to learn ebrake turns. AT my moms, a 99 Grand AM SE w/170hpV6. It has some problems, tho, but it has a chicken stick, which doesnt apply as much pressure as the taurus.
I go sliding around town at night, some of the residential sections have widestreets and good visibility. There is an awesome church parking lot aswell. All will probly have enough snow on Saturday for fun.
*Note: I am at least responsible in my madness; doing it at night, and watching carefully for kids/cars. I also never try anything beyond my control on streets, only in parking lots. And from now on, I will not exceed the speed limit by more than 19km/h:rolleyes: *

i totally agree. i never do anything totally unsafe. i make sure i'm always in control. i've spun out a couple of times but i made sure before hand that the intersection was clear. i never speed and only do psycho things (like donuts/360's) in parking lots.

I love doing crazy stuff, but I don't, since I'm already stretching my money to afford the car I have now. If I wreck it, all I'll be able to afford will be a little Nissan Micra or something, so I don't risk doing anything crazy in this car. If I'm driving a beater though.....
Also my parents are currently paying my insurance (liability only, and still like $2700 a year :mad: ) on the premise that I'm a good and mature driver...if I wreck my car by doing something "stupid" like handbrakes (and hit a pole or something, I dunno :)), not only will I have to get a new crap car, but they won't pay my insurance anymore either :( I need to get a beater........:D:D
I can't wait until I'm out of college and actually have money...right now 95% of all my money is going to college so that I don't need a loan, that way when I get out I'll be debt free and able to spend all I want....I'm gonna buy myself a 1990 Lotus Esprit or something :D
