We are undoubtabley going to go to war with Iraq, nothing new to you folks. After reading this http://news.yahoo.com/fc?tmpl=fc&cid=34&in=world&cat=iraq I thought to myself, why can't they show the American people this proof that states beyond a shadow of a doubt that Saddam is going to in the end kill us all? Im not saying you have to release a video or something like that. One photograph would be enough proof for the American people to at least know that Bush isn't just trying to stir up shit cause his daddy couldn't finish something. Now, I am in no way saying that Saddam doesn't have WMD, because im fairly certain he does, but so do a lot of other countries in the world, are we gonna go to war with them too? India tested its nuclear capable rockets recently, better make sure they don't conspire against the US, lets take 'em to war. Im sorry if some who read this may think what I say to be foolish, but that's just my thought.

Ah this topic again. Much like the last war with Iraq, this one will be short and decisive.

Unlike the last war[which followed the invasion of Kuwait] this war is being waged without a shred of evidence to justify it.If the UN weapons inspectors had found a single site of consequence,Bush would have been waving photographs at press conferences and gleefully telling the world. The weapons inspectors have found NOTHING.No doubt there will be the armchair generals who simply claim that that proves the weapons inspectors to be incompetent, but unless the U.S. invades Iraq the xenophobicand ignorant elements of the extreme right will never be satisfied.

So far the inspectors have not found that "smoking gun" they also claim to not have cooperation or information on the whereabouts of weapons that they know about. So their is no hard fast proof yet. AND their is no war being waged yet. So the statement that it is being waged on no evidence is false because their is no war.

holy crap, that's the most naive thing that you have said yet.Why do you think the U.S.is pouring troopd into the Middle East? For a DAMN PICNIC?There's a war being waged already. It hasn't escalated to the invasion stage yet,but George Bush has made it perfectly clear that he intends to invade Iraq regardless. Now in my books, that's a declaration of war. There will begood young men from both sides going home in body bags soon thanks to George W bUSH and his corporate buddies. They want a piece of the Middle East oil industry and they don't care how many lies they have to tell, how much propaganda they have to put out,or how many American soldiers have to die in order to get it.

Its preperations for war. However you said this war is being waged without a shred of evidence to justify it YOUR WORDS So I am pointing out that there is no public evidence yet and their is also NO WAR yet. Preperations yes. War No. There is no war being waged already.

Congradulations on publishing your own definition book

Well thanks,I'm in print at last.

I'll be looking for your book on justifiable defence policy next time I visit the library.Might be a bit of a mission to find such a small volume in the fiction section though.

I just love Bush's double standards. "We think Iraq is building WMD but we're not sure so we're going to go to war. We know North Korea has nukes, lets go for a diplomatic solution."

As Oz said, the main thing is oil I reckon. Take Iraq...cheap oil for the US...sell it off to the rest of us...make more money...

Of course, this is all just my opinion. I'm your average boon and about as far from comptetent enough to judge the actions of a world leader (read: global village idiot) as you can get...

Ok, so we are deploying troops to the Middle East. Yeah, they are preparations IN CASE we do go to war. Because if things go bad or whatever and our Commander in Chief tells us to go, we left yesterday. That's all it is. A Navy ship is considered to be at war everytime they leave the port. The military needs to be ready to go on a moments notice. Of course, CNN happens to find out when that is before the ones deploy do. :)

Several things:

1. We don't import oil from Iraq. none, zero, zip. We have more oil in 1 field in Alaska than all of Iraq, so drop the "its about oil" argument, its silly.

2. Iraq has stated and we Found weapons of mass destruction before the inspectors were kicked out in '98. The purpose of the current inspections is that Iraq has to prove how they disposed of these weapons, NOT for us to find them, It is already established that they have them. They have not showed ONE thing of destroying any weapons. NONE.

3. Most of our intel. comes from inside Iraq. Exposure of our info would show where it came from and result in our source being killed and the end of our info pipeline.

4. Do you know that the inspectors are not allowed to go thru military instillations? How fucked up is that. They are looking for weapons and cannot check the military.

:bloated: That is retarded. Of course the military controls the weapons, but NOOooooo the U.N. says to check churches and schools.

anyway, just my 2c. but I think you have about 2 weeks until the forecast in Baghdad is "windy, cloudy, and about 2000 degrees".

You would ask Iraq to give completely free run of all it's military facilities, and inspect all of their weapons, to a team of inspectors who have previously proven to be at least in part an intelligence gathering party for the CIA?

It has been agreed by everyone except those on American/British television that the US is going to invade Iraq in February. They would have done it already if they could have mobilized sooner. To argue that war is not inevitable is ridiculous.

How can you believe the things you say? Even if they cared the smallest bit about weapons, the programs Israel has make Iraq's chemical weapons look like a children with water pistols.

Did you know Israel has nuclear weapons, assembled with secrets they stole from the US? Chemical weapons? You name it, they've got it. Anthrax, sure. Smallpox, yeup. They don't need weapons inspectors to find that out, it's all in declassified Israeli documents, CIA documents too. So don't play the weapons of mass destruction card, because that's a flimsy pretense, and it's quite depressing that the White House thinks so little of the American people they are willing to put that on CNN.

Yogi, I'm becoming steadily convinced you are Ari Fleischer :hehehe:
