'93 Prelude SR-V

Ok I was wondering if it would be worth buying a '93 Prelude SR-V that is in perfect condition, for $10,995 canadian follars. The reason I ask is that its got 163000 km on it. I know that with other honda engines thats really nothing. Would 163000km be too much km for a perfect condition with loads of options that they want 10995 cdn.

ok ill just make this a bit easier. I said it was 10995cdn for a 93 prelude with 163000 km

just to clarify,

this is about $7100 us dollars for a car with about 100,000 miles on it.
its got loads of options, sunroof, 15 inch alloys, this is 5 spd too. tinted windows and power everything too.

Sorry i couldn't respond quickly, but i was out of the country for spring break. I went to belize...Thats an ok deal but try to drop it into the 6k range. If the guy will do that then it'll be a good deal. Thats what I did, I negotiated with my guy for my 98 lude and i was able to get it for 13,200. 100k isn't really too high mileage for a 93 lude, it is 8 years old so that would mean about 12.5k miles a year which is avg mileage. Also make sure you look at the wheels and see if they have even tire wear, check under the hood and make sure oil is the correct color. Check under the car and look at the frame to see if you can find any places where it looks like it got bent(like from an accident). And of course check the vin numbers on all the parts(i.e. doors, trunk area, in the front windshield, etc) to see if he replaced any parts. And of course take the car for a test drive and have fun with it. Test the breaking, acceleration, etc. I'm sure you know all of this but just throwing some stuff in if you missed anything. You might also want to do a car check on the car(carfax).

All in all, I'd say you're getting a good deal. You could try to go a little lower into the $6,000 range as justin suggested, but I'd say $7,100 for a loaded model is pretty good actually.

$8,895 was their price for a 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC Coupe with 100 K miles and the options you described and in my neighborhood (I don't know your zip code).
$8,520 was their price for a Honda Prelude Si Coupe with 100 K miles and the options you described. So it seem you are definitely doing well at $7,100.

11000 canadian is like 7000 american... juss to let you guys know, cause it sounds like you're talkin about american prices
