Is the HS cold air intake worth the extra $100 or so bucks over a JWT pop??? The reason why I am asking this is because im finally gonna get a intake for my car. But im wonder should I get a JWT now or wait an extra 2 weeks for my next pay check so I can get the HS?

I'd personally wait for the HS CAI. It'll net you more power and it sound nicer, IMO. There is also the place racing unit, and a brand new AEM (supposedly the best power maker of the three) CAI. I personally think the CAI was one of the best mods i did, I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. hope this helps.

does Place Racing make a cai for the p11 or do they only make ones for the p10?

I am pretty sure it will, but i believe it depends on what model year P11 you have, and if they have the correct MAF adapter for your year, as the MAF changed i think? If you were to call place racing they'd know, but i know i've seen hs cai's on p11s.

Wait! There's a new AEM CAI???

Well, in any case, wait for the CAI. You'll get a couple more HP and if you get the pop charger you'll probably want a CAI in the future. And you'll probably end up getting both in that case. If AEM does in fact make a CAI for the 2000+ models, I would go with AEM cuz they have a bypass valve and chances are you'll want it. I just got a HS CAI but I haven't installed it yet. But from what I hear, there's a few alterations that need to be made to include a BPV. Hopefully AEM made it easier.

I don't know if the AEM fits in a 2002 model, but i do know the aem cai for the sr20 will not work with a bypass valve. Apparently they didn't design it to work with one, from what i understand.

You could always rig it to work, but then you may lose the warranty, or something else like that?

Are you sure AEM has a new CAI. It sounds a lot like the one for the 1999.

Well, the AEM CAI is a relatively new part for the sr20. As far as one fitting the '02 model, I don't know? I know they fit older g20's, but i don't know about the '02?

What exactly is the difference between a 99 G20 intake and a 00+ intake???

The air flow sensor that the pipes will attach to is completely different.
