actually, i got the dash out in about 15 min, the biggest bitch was getting the clips keeping the wiring harness undone, after that i had to pull my steering wheel and the wiper and headlight controls, then it was a breeze

taking the dash out is extremely simple!! i thought putting the dash back was going to be a bitch BUT IT WASNT!! Luckily with hondas, or foriegn cars for the matter if its not color coded, then it will only go or fit in one place!!

hey 1990civic , have you had any problem with the paint on the door panels cracking or peeling? in staring to have doubts about whether or not to paint the door panels, i am using krylon, and im very afraid of it cracking and looking like shit...what brand paint did you use on your door panels?

no problems at all!! the paint that i used is VINYL PLASTIKOTE Paint That I Bought At Advanced Auto Parts!! The Key To The Painting Is To Clean The Surface 4-5 Times With Vinyl Prep Solution, Then When You Apply It You Do Very Light Coats!!

hmmm.....im having very big doubts about painting the door panels now, because im using krylon engine enamel, and that paint gets hard and brittle, not like the vinly paint which stays flexible to prevent cracking....i wish 4g4d (the guy hwo own 4g4dstore) because i know he used engime enamel because it is the only paint he could use that matched the yellow of his exterior....anyone know where to get ahold of him?

why use engine paint? "engine" means it is made for the engine, not vinyl. it will probaly come off if you use the engine paint.

because i noticed a while back when i WAS using the vinyl paint that when it gets hot (around heater vents) it relly likes to soften up an come off if you touch it. in my old integra i didnt have any flexable material in the interior, so i didnt think about it until i had already started painting things that my civics door panels are flexable to the touch

use vinyl die...you can get colors custom made if you go to most body shpos just tell them you wnt it for vinyl and plastic...here is my car http://139.81.142.25/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63311

it is pretty easy to put on....you just have to be patient or else the paint will seperate. You have to do it in really thin coats if you put it on to thick it seperates (Idid this the first time)! So it is pretty simple;)
