C.D. chanager in a hatch?

I was just wondering where people install wheir CD changers in their hatchbacks. I'm asking cause I have a 10 disk CD changer in my workshop just waiting to be put into a car. It's pretty large and I just have no idea where i could install it. I was thinking maybe in the glove compartment, but what do you guys think?

why dont you put it where the cup holder is, fabricate a panel out of cardboard and fiberglass it.:)

i don't know, since it's one of the first things im gonna do to my car i would rather not have to fiberglass it. I'm more looking for a good place to put it without it being in the way. You think i could get it in the glove compartment? Or maybe i could cut the cloor board in the back and sink it into the base where the wheel normally is when i put subs in?

i mounted both of mine in the rear hatch to the cargo cover, ran the wires up under the trim and carpeting...looks pretty good and stays out of the way...

sweet, yeah that's what i was leaning towards. Are they set into the floor, or just mounted somewhere back there?

There mounted to the under side of the cargo cover, the piece that folds back to get into the rear compartment...

that's where I had mine mounted in the CRX ......... it faced towards the front, which means I could reload a new magazine from the inside.

that's a good idea, but don't you take the cargo cover off if you have subs in the back. I thought it'd just be a better sound if you didn't have anything abstructing them. And also, when people just sink subs into the ir trunks and they aren't actually in the car how does that affect the sound quality?

I would put it in the hatch!!! And if its not to big I heard of some people putting it in there glove compartment!! Good luck let me know!!;)

I don't think having the cargo cover on effect the overall sound or volume of a subwoofer.

okay that's good to know. But what about when you install them in the trunk of something like a civic coupe?
