Question about stock wheel covers

So I was wondering, since im not gonna spend much money on my civic right now, are those wheel covers paint-able? Because mine are kinda dull and look pretty ugly. Ideas?

Probably, they are just plastic. I would recommend any time you paint something prep it well. Clean the hub caps with soap and water and maybe a degreaser. Then take some sandpaper and scuff them up just a bit, maybe 1000 grit would be good. Use some Adhesion promoter such as bulldog. Then use bumper primer (since it allows for flexing) then you can paint them whatever color over that. If you prep it that well it should last a long long time.

i say paint the rims and get rid of the hubcaps, i painted mine with quick drying "chrome" paint, they look really good, just scuff the rims and get rid of any rust on them, i painted mine in the afternoon in cold weather and put them on my car 5 hours later, they look pretty good, painted them with the tire right on the rim, just mask the tire off for over spray and mask your valve stem unless you want that painted too.

I painted mine with some high temp grey paint my dad had lying around. I now have rims from a 92-95 civic VX, but I do have an old pic of my car for you.
