1/4 Times

Hey, just got myself an 89 240sx. I have done a lot of reading on this Sr20det swap. It seems like the way to go. With the swap complete, good clutch, intercooler, stock boost (7psi?)how fast will this thing go? No B.S. Please, don't reply if have'nt run your car at the track. And if you have, was it lightened, slicks, outside temperature etc..

I'm coming from the Honda camp, and realize most people are full of it. It was'nt ez to get my car to run 13.5. B18c1 motor milled head, cam gears, slicks and completey gutted, not even a dash. Street legal yes, anywhere near comfortable , NO! If anyone has done Honda swaps and SR swaps, Which was easier? Swapping motors in a Honda is ez, making it fast, however is another story.

with a Front mount intercooler and a boost controller and HKS 1.8mm Head gasket 13.8 but the car was not dyno tuned on that run

with a Dyno~tuned run it gave us a respectiable 13.2


the nissan way is ez to go with for simplicity.

Thanks for the realistic numbers, Have you worked on any Hondas, if so how does the work compare?

sr20det isnt the motor for you if you want quick e\t's because their powerband makes most of their power in the hi rmpz. so it not good for 1/4 mile. the quickest 1\4 sr powered car was only 11's and that was a fully built sr20det motor.. also honda aren't to great to turbo charging as well you have to change alot of things to make them run decent. plus a stock honda motor can run efficent on 8psi only amd 10psi to race some times, more boost and kiss your motor goodby.

stock sohc 240? 17-18-ish your prolly running 18-19's by the shape your car is right now zdude.

stock sr20 s13? high 13 seconds with good tires and a stripped down interior.

hahaha, but who wants that? sr20 isnt that fast. its faster then the ka, but its still not that fast
