From Yahoo Japan Auction, I got...
10 Fujimi Enthusiast Porsches for $100.
10 Discontinued Group C kits for $70

And I'm thinking of buying this for $42.

I agree, i brought the Impreza at that price. I already have the Skyline which is a great kit which has the potential to be superdetailed inside, i strongly recommend that one.

if u dont buy that 42 i want it!.. where??

saw the supra for 27, the gtr for 30, the veilside rx-7 i bought for 22...

so it seems like a good deal. but then all the prices are jacked up here in the states anyways..

it seems cheap on HLJ but then shipping adds like 8 -10 to each model. so about the same here in the US....

anybody know of US sellers that have cheap prices ?

No, those are mine. :)

As for import kits, you can't get away with the overhead. You still have to pay for the international shipping, middle man's profit and local store's profit. That's why buying kits at their original retail prices in JPY + int. shipping is the cheapest way, except some sales item.
I got Tamiya Mustang Cobra R for only $12 at a local Hobby Lobby in KS, but that was long time ago.

Hirofkd, What's the different between the R33 v-spec LM kit and the standard fujimi R33 kit? Can you post some pictures of that R33 LM kit?

go to www.altavista.com, then click on translate. you will see a big box to rype text that needs translating. under that box, there is a smaller empty bar. this is for websites. you simply put the URL in (auctions.yahoo.co.jp) and make sure it's set to translate from japanese to english, and click "go" and it translates the ENTIRE sight for you. only problem is, even when you translate japanese into english, some of it STILL doesn't make sense...:p

On the real car, the R33 LM Limited has checkered flag stickers on the C-pillar, and the body color was Champion Blue.
Fujimi kit is identical to the R33 Nismo, except it's mold in blue, and the checkered flag sticker is included on the decal sheet. That's it. The kit was on sale, and I got it for half the price. I guess the kit was wasting the shelf space.

The Online translation never make sense, especially when it's not latin based language.
Anyway, here's another link to Y!Japan Auction for Plastic Car Models.
This one goes through the Amikai translation engine, instead of Bablefish of Altavista.

Still doesn't make sense, does it?:)
After choose a category, and a list is shown, click the link [It is accepted (which should be "apply")] next to camera icon to show images. That's much easier to navigate.

Don't tell me that both Hasegawa Sauber C8 and C9's are included in those... :uhoh:

No, the $70 didn't include the C8, but had the Brun Porsche 962C with BBS, which hasn't been reissued.

Now, you guys know the secret of why I can afford so many kits with a limited budget. :)
I just received the auction items, and total came to 5910 yen (50 USD) including shipping and bank transfer.

The seller gave me the SR20 tuning book for free.
They are worth 2000 + 2000 + 1800 + 1800 + 1800 + 1300 + 2000 = 12700 yen. (105 USD)
